Craig joined the Aussiemove team in 1993 as a sales consultant following his change of career from the automotive repair industry. Today Craig is a director of Aussiemove and the manager for Southern Australia operations. Craig holds a diploma in Applied Logistics and Transport.
Craig sits on the board of directors for Australian Movers Group (AMG) and is the current President as well as the South Australian regional chairman of the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA).
Aussiemove began operations in Adelaide in 1987 after father(Neville), mother (Margaret) and son (Mike) came together after working in different sectors of road transport. With Neville and Mike out on the road carrying out the moving process, Margaret manned the small home office and developed the initial business systems. The first depot was a small warehouse located in Pooraka SA and was used only for storage of client goods as there was not sufficient space for trucks. Within 12 months the developing company had moved into new and much larger premises in Beverly SA. All facets of moving and storage were offered with Neville and Margaret now entirely focused on business development.
During the early 1990’s, Aussiemove was a pioneer in developing the use of modified shipping containers for interstate removals utilising the railway network between Australian capital cities. This change also bought about the development of Australian Movers Group. AMG commenced formal operations in 1991 with branches in Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide. The group has since expanded to become Australia's largest independent moving alliance, comprising of eighteen branches around Australia.
In 1992 operations commenced in the Northern Territory a move which was strategically perfect for the future development of the company.
In 1994 after being diagnosed with Cancer, Neville retired from the company with Margaret soon to follow. Although the outcome of the treatment was positive, neither of these people returned. At this point Craig, Mike & Lee took over the operations of the company. In 2008 shares held by Neville and Margaret were purchased by Mike & Craig.
